When you are in the content tab of the email builder, you will see the "Validate" button.
Clicking on this button initiates a validation process that checks your email for potential errors.
The purpose of this validation is to ensure that your email is error-free.
By validating your email, you can identify and address any issues or mistakes before sending it out, ultimately improving the quality and effectiveness of your email communication.
Errors that appear in yellow are only advisory warnings, and you can still publish the template if these appear.
However, if there are any red errors when you validate your email, these issues will need to be resolved before you can publish the email.
An example yellow warning (shown above) would be if you have chosen to include a link for an image in the email but have not entered a valid URL into the hyperlink input.
Without a valid URL, the image will not be clickable, and the link will not function as intended. Make sure to insert a valid URL into the hyperlink input to ensure that your image has a functioning link or ensure the tick box is ticked next to "Do not use":
You may also see a similar error message referring to your CTA or button, if it has been left without a valid hyperlink:
Example of red errors that require action include a missing Unsubscribe link within the email and also missing Spambot detection tag as these are crucial to ensure compliance and user experience.
Once any red errors have been resolved, you will be able to publish your email template.
