In this article we will cover how to clear any formatting from your Google Sheets document, which may be preventing your file from being uploaded to Force24, as well as how to save your document as a compatible .xlsx file.
Firstly, you want to select the relevant cells/data. Usually you will want to clear the formatting for the entire sheet, in which case you can select all data by typing Ctrl + A (Windows) or Cmd + A (Mac):
Next, you will need to click Format in the top menu and then Clear Formatting from the drop-down options.
This will remove any formatting from the data in your selected cells, such as fonts, colours, text alignment etc.
You can also use a simple keyboard shortcut to clear formatting. Select the cells and press Ctrl + \ (on Windows) or Cmd + \ (on Mac).
To make sure your file is in the correct format to be uploaded to Force24, you will need to download your sheet as a .xlsx file.
To do this you need to firstly open the File menu in the top left corner, and then within the Download section, select the Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file format.
This will then download a compatible version of your Google Sheets file that you can then upload to Force24 in the Data Upload section of the platform.
