How to correctly adjust your email template spacing and padding when using background colour.
Within the template, firstly ensure you are within 'Layout' mode.
Within layout mode, hover over the section you would like to amend, this will highlight the section in blue. Clicking on the 'edit' pencil icon as shown below, this will open up the 'edit row' editor
Within the editor this will bring up the 'spacing' section, remove any spacing here in the top and bottom, this pulls through from the background of the row.
The spacing below should be replicated
Now click directly on one of the columns within the snippet. You should see a new 'Edit row' window on the right-hand side.
Here you can add as much spacing, top or bottom and also left or right of the column to increase the borders edge. Repeat this process on the other sections of the template.
