Subscription Status -  In email marketing, "subscription preferences" are tools that enable businesses to offer subscribers control over the types and frequency of emails they receive, enhancing engagement, satisfaction, and retention by delivering more relevant content.


Hard Bounce - a permanent delivery failure indicating that an email cannot be delivered to the recipient's address due to reasons like an invalid or non-existent email address.


Soft Bounce - a temporary delivery failure, often due to issues like a full inbox or a server problem, indicating the email could not be delivered but may succeed later.  6 soft bounces in 6 months will result in a user's status being set to hard bounce.


Spam Bounce - occurs when an email is rejected because the recipient's server identifies it as spam, often leading to the sender being blocked or flagged.


Microsite/landing page -  Microsites are personalized landing pages you can create on a dedicated subdomain. You can include these in your emails to drive traffic without sending users to your main website.

Erase - Erasing a contact will mean their information will be permanently deleted and you will not be able to upload the same contact information again.


Delete - This will remove the contact from the platform, but they can be uploaded again at another time if necessary.


Active - Active contacts are individuals who are eligible to receive emails, SMS, or direct mail communications.

Landing page subdomain - A landing page subdomain is a specific web address created for hosting landing pages, allowing businesses to direct email traffic to a dedicated space separate from their main website.


DNS records - A set of records for your email/microsite subdomain that will need to be applied to your DNS provider i.e GoDaddy, 123Reg.


Snippet - A small section of an email/microsite.


Cookies - Cookies are small data files stored on a user's device by websites to remember preferences, track activity, and enhance user experience.


Email subdomain -  a separate domain used to send emails, improving deliverability and protecting the sender's primary domain reputation.


Tracking Script - a code snippet embedded in your website to monitor user interactions and gather data on email performance and engagement.


Preheader - A preheader is the short summary text that follows the subject line in an email, giving a preview of the email's content.


Subject Line - A subject line is the brief text that summarises the main idea of an email, displayed in the recipient's inbox.


From Name/Reply Address - the name and email address displayed in the sender information, indicating who the email is from and where replies will be directed.


External form - A form hosted on your website from which submissions are tracked into F24.


Embedded form - A form created in F24 that is hosted on your website.
