SoAmpli channels are used to organise your posts into different categories. These can be used in a variety of ways, such as
- Splitting your content into different internal teams, e.g. separate channels for Sales and Marketing
- Having channels for different brands e.g. one for SoAmpli and one for Force24
- Creating channels for specific campaigns or products, to help segment your reporting.
To create a new channel, you can click on the + icon next to "channels" in the top left hand corner of the platform.
You will then see the screen below, where you can give your new channel a name and description and decide which team members you'd like to have access to this channel.
You can also assign a user to be the channel owner, and specify whether or not to 'grant admin rights' to this user within the new channel. This means that a user could be an amplifier or advocate normally, but within this specific channel they have admin rights/permissions.
You'll also see options for assigning a parent channel and campaign type, as well as some engagement targets you would like your channel to achieve; and you can specify whether or not to include your new channels posts within the "all channels" feed.
If you want a private channel, so only users that are members can see the content, set No under "Include in 'All Channels'". If you want a public channel, so the posts appear under the All Channels feed for all users, select Yes.
Once you have set up these preferences for your new channel, you can click this button to create it:
You will then be able to see your new channel in the top left hand corner of the platform:
You can now create new posts here for your channel members to share:
If you need to edit the channel settings or members at any point you can do so from the "edit channel" or "members" buttons, or by hovering over the channel title on the side bar and clicking the cog icon:
Once you have your Channels set up you can assign your new posts to the relevant channels upon creation:
