Alt text (alternative text) describes the appearance or function of an image on an email; alt text is often read aloud by screen readers, for people with visual impairments and/or low vision. For best practice email sending these should be included in emails and accurately depict the image/intent.

To save you time to do this; we've included alt text generation to the AI wizard. You can now enable/disable the feature in the settings page in your 'AI wizard' section.

Once this is enabled in your account, it will automatically 'tick' the option to 'automatically generate alternative text' for your image that sits within the email builder. This will then generate the alt text for your image when any new image is added to the 'upload' image section.

This function can be used whilst the setting is set to 'No' on a 'one-off' basis by checking the tick option on the image you wish to use it on (this function can be used on images uploaded from file, from URL and when generated from AI).

If you would like to 're-generate' the AI Alt tag, you can press the AI icon displayed above the Alt text.
