Troubleshooting Image Issues in the Email Builder
If images in your emails aren't displaying correctly, there could be a few common reasons this may happen. Here’s what you need to know:
Keep Image Width at 600px Maximum
For optimal display across all devices and email platforms, ensure that your images are no wider than 600 pixels. Larger images may not render correctly or could be resized in ways that affect appearance and layout.
Use Drag-and-Drop to Upload Images
When uploading images into the email builder, dragging and dropping your image files into the upload area is the most reliable method. This helps ensure your files are uploaded cleanly and reduces the chance of formatting or compatibility issues.
Safe Sender Settings Can Help
To improve the chances of your images loading properly, ask your recipients to add your email address or domain to their safe senders list (also known as a whitelist). This tells their email client that your messages are trusted and can help ensure that images and other media are downloaded automatically.
Other reasons may include:
Different Email Platforms Render Differently
Email platforms like Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail each interpret HTML and CSS in their own unique ways. What looks perfect in one client, might appear broken or distorted in another. This isn't an issue specific to your email platform, it’s a well-known limitation in email design caused by inconsistent rendering rules across email platforms.
Some Email Platforms Block Images by Default
For security and privacy reasons, many email platforms block images from displaying automatically. This can make it seem like your images are missing or broken when, in reality, the recipient just needs to manually allow images to load. This setting is usually controlled by the user and cannot be overridden by the sender.
