What is Nexus?

Nexus acts as a connector between your data sets; linking your contact data with external data sources – whether that’s job listings, stock availability, holiday offers, blog content via RSS feeds and so on. As soon as there’s a match between a contact’s preferences and the live data, Nexus triggers real-time communication that is timely, personalised, and relevant. If there’s no match, nothing is sent. But the moment a relevant opportunity appears, the message goes out automatically through the automated journeys.

Glossary

Object: The object is the main category for which your data is categorised under. This would be the overall subject matter name.

External ID: This is a unique series of numbers/letters used to identify each instance within your object. This will be used as the unique identifier for each row that can be used to update or edit the data.

External Data Object Field: The fields are the sub-categories within your object. For example, if your object is called ‘Car’, the fields within this may be ‘Model’, ‘Mileage’, ‘Make’ etc.

Repeaters: Repeaters are snippet columns/blocks that can be repeated a number of times depending on the available data. For example, if there are 3 matching items to a search, it will show those 3 repeated within the email with the same styling and different content. If there is only 2 items matching the criteria, or the data becomes removed, it will only show the corresponding number repeated.
