As you prepare to close your Force24 account, there are several actions we recommend completing before your closure date. This will ensure Force24 services are fully removed from your websites and systems, and that you retain any data or reporting you may need in the future.
1. Remove Force24 Website Tracking
To prevent Force24 from continuing to collect website visitor activity, you should remove the Force24 tracking script from all websites where it has been installed.
You should:
- Review your website source code and identify any Force24 tracking scripts, typically located within the <head> section of your website pages.
- Remove the tracking script from your website code or from any tag management solution where it has been deployed.
- Publish the updated version of your website.
- Clear any website, CDN, or browser caches if applicable.
- Verify that the tracking script is no longer present on your live website.
Once removed, Force24 will no longer track visitor activity on your website.
2. Remove Force24 DNS Records
If DNS records were configured as part of your Force24 implementation, these should be removed once you no longer require Force24 email sending, tracking, or hosted services.
You should:
- Log in to your domain management or DNS hosting provider.
- Identify any DNS records that were created specifically for Force24, including:
- CNAME records used for email tracking or hosted services
- SPF records added specifically for Force24 email sending
- DKIM records used for email authentication
- Any other Force24-related DNS entries
- Remove the relevant records after confirming they are not being used by any other service
Removing these records will fully disconnect Force24 services from your domain.
3. Remove Embedded Forms and Website Assets
Before your account is closed, you should remove any website assets that rely on Force24.
This may include:
- Embedded forms
- Hosted form links
- Landing pages hosted through Force24
- Website components that submit data directly into Force24
Once your account is closed, these assets may no longer function as expected.
4. Remove Managed API Integrations
If you have a managed API integration with Force24, you should arrange for this to be removed or decommissioned before closure.
You should:
- Disable any automated data transfers between Force24 and your systems.
- Remove any API credentials or authentication keys where applicable.
- Update any internal processes or systems that rely on Force24 data feeds.
Confirm that no business-critical processes depend on the integration before your account is closed.
API & SFTP Integration Management
- Where Force24 manages the API integration, we will disable our side of the integration as part of the offboarding process.
- Where the API integration is managed by your team or a third party, you will be responsible for disabling and decommissioning the integration on your side.
- For integrations that utilise SFTP file transfers, all automated file deliveries should also be stopped once the integration is no longer required to prevent unnecessary data transfers.
5. Export Your Data
Before your account is closed, please ensure you export any data you wish to retain.
This may include:
- Contact and prospect records
- Form submissions
- Segments and marketing lists
- Landing page data
- Automation and customer journey information
- Preference centre data
Please note that this data may no longer be accessible once your account has been closed.
6. Export Campaign Reporting and Results
If you require historical marketing performance data, please ensure this is downloaded before account closure.
This may include:
- Email campaign performance reports
- Open, click and engagement statistics
- Automation and journey reporting
- Historical campaign analytics
7. Confirm Closure Arrangements
Before your account closure date, please ensure you understand:
- The agreed account closure date
- When platform access will be removed
- Any applicable data retention and deletion policies
- Any final billing or contractual obligations
Important
Once your Force24 account has been closed, access to the platform and any associated services will be removed. We therefore recommend completing all website changes, integration removals, and data exports before your agreed closure date to avoid any disruption or loss of information.
