We have made some changes to our Email Builder recently, and this article will explain how to navigate these and get the most out of the new features.
Firstly, you will notice the Preview/Content/Layout sections that were above the email artwork are now mostly over on the right hand side, with only the preview option remaining above the artwork.
The first option is going to show you the Template Info:
This is where you will see the template Name, UTM Campaign and Pre-header etc.
The next section is Content, which has all the same functionality as before but with some newly added features.
These features include the ability to now set a background image in the email template, as well as background colour. For more information on this new feature, you can find a dedicated support article here.
Also, you will see that there is now a Eye Dropper option when it comes to selecting your background colours:
This will allow you to hover over any colour on your screen and click on it to use that colour in your email artwork.
The Layout mode is the same as before, you can drag and drop different snippets into your email and edit their structure from here.
And finally, there is a new tab called Global Style, which allows you to now set a default font, line height and text colour, as well as default background and foreground colour across the template.
As you can see from this example, when editing the global style, the background colour refers to the colour of the outer edges of the template and the foreground colour is for the central 600px block, where the content of the email lies.
